Whit's End-My Favorite Place

Hey ya'll, it's Annie and they're letting me post about our time at Focus on the Family's Whit's End that we went to on Friday. Focus on the Family is a ministry in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  It's a really nice place with a soda fountain, a two story corkscrew slide, a playground, a puppet theater, a dress up room and a stage.  In the corkscrew slide you wear a bag over your legs and socks over your arms (I hope they are clean).  Your head hits the sides of the slide as you go down.  The Whit's soda fountain serves snacks and ice cream.  I had a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone and it was spectacular!!  Inside of Whit's End we met the Johnson Family from Nashville, Tennessee, and guess what, they're homeschoolers too! The playground reminded me of a Burger King playground with a slide and an airplane.  A model of Jason Whitaker's airplane is downstairs and it's a fun place to play.  Daniel and I put on a puppet show for my mom and sister.  We used two fish puppets, two alligators, a horse, a dog and a parrot. If you ever make it to Colorado Springs, you must go to Whit's End; it's my favorite place on the trip so far!!  Miss you all...

  1. Hey Annie, it's Katherine C. Wow, Whit's End sounds like it would be my favorite place, too!! And I agree. I would also be a little doubtful of the cleanliness of the baggies. I guess if you took a shower afterwards you are fine. :) After listening to the Odyssey episodes on CD, I always wanted to go to Whit's End and get myself some ice cream. You'll have to tell me all the details when you get home. Did you see Whit or Eugene? :)

  2. Hi Annie,

We love Whit's End too! We went there a few years ago. Chris from Adventures in Odyssey actually called Sommer and Sarah a few days ago to wish them a Happy Birthday!

I finally figured out how to visit and do a post on your blog - the last one I did disappeared into thin air! I wanted to say that Sarah is enjoying your nice letters and hearing about where you are visiting! You are so nice to write her!

Sounds like y'all are having an awesome trip. Tell everyone hi and we miss you all!
